Pushkin wrote that the spirit of our literature is partly dependent on the state of writers. This, of course, applies to the work of the poet himself, which largely depended on his financial situation. The book includes all the main works that considered the economic and financial problems in Pushkin’s life, primarily the research of S. Ya. Gessen and P. E. Tyschcheleva.
In the economic life of Pushkin, five hypostases can be distinguished: an official, a writer and a book publisher, a card player, a landowner, a seamyard citizen. It is on this principle that the materials published in the book were grouped.
The book also includes the works of modern scientists - "A. S. Pushkin: income and debts" (A. A. Belykh), "Essays on the material life of Pushkin" (S. V. Berezkin), "O" Copper Grandmother "" (I. S. Sidorov)
