The training manual presents a system of educating the actor, based on the heritage of K. S. Stanislavsky and summarizing more than twenty-year practical experience of the author in teaching actors of the workshop of professor V. M. Filstinsky and the workshop of L. V. Gracheva St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts. In addition, the results of the 10-year activities of the Laboratory of Psychophysiology of performing arts created by L. V. Gracheva within the walls of the Academy of Theater Arts, together with the Institute of the Human of the Russian Academy of Sciences, are outlined. A psychophysiological study of the mechanism of influence of many exercises and areas of training of actors confirm their effectiveness in the development of the actor’s psychophysical apparatus in the learning process.
