Educational programs for grades 5-9 of special (correctional) educational schools of the VIII type (for children with intellectual development disorders) determine the content of subjects and correctional courses, the sequence of its passage over the years of study.
In general subjects, programs are presented for:
- Russian language: reading and developing speech, grammar, spelling and development of speech,
- Natural Science,
- Mathematics,
- natural science (biology): inanimate nature, plants, humans,
- geography: the initial course of physical geography, the nature of our Motherland, the geography of continents and oceans, geography of Russia, geography of their locality, elementary astronomy,
- the history of Russia and social studies,
- social orientation,
- singing and music,
- physical education.
Corrective block is presented by a socio-house orientation program (election).
Correction and group classes are conducted according to individual plans.
Programs take into account the features of cognitive activity of children with impaired intellectual development. They are aimed at the versatile development of the personality of students, contribute to their mental development, provide civil, moral, labor, aesthetic and physical education. Programs contain a material that helps students achieve the level of general educational knowledge and skills that they need for social adaptation
