The book is devoted to assessments of the limiting capabilities of thermodynamic systems with a given or maximum possible intensity of flows. These estimates are based on the use of balances equations by substance, energy and entropy. The production of entropy depends on the kinetics of processes, the structure of the system and the intensity of flows. The main models of thermodynamic systems are set out. Methods of optimization and optimal management are used to solve the problem of the minimum production of entropy in such systems for certain restrictions.
The proposed methodology is applied to heat -humanic systems, heat transfer processes and separation. Expressions are given for the maximum power of the thermal machine, the maximum efficiency of irreversible straight and reverse cycles, the maximum performance of the rectification column. The tasks of the optimal organization of the processes of separating multicomponent mixtures and multi -flow heat exchanging systems have been solved. Membrane systems and diffusion machines have been investigated.
The book can serve as a training manual for students studying in the areas of training and specialties of enlarged groups: "Physics and astronomy", "Chemistry", "Chemical Technologies", and others, where the Tarmodynamics of irreversible processes is provided. The monograph is also intended for specialists specializing in the use of optimal management methods to irreversible thermodynamic processes and technologies based on them
