The book is dedicated to the problems of Lermontov’s poetics. A detailed structural and semantic analysis of individual works (both poetic and prose) made it possible to make generalizations related to his work as a whole. A hypothetical reconstruction of the plot of a number of unfinished works has been proposed. The arguments are presented in favor of the fact that some others are “pseudo -bombed texts”, when the work is a complete whole, but the plot is torn by the author intentionally - in order to fulfill artistic tasks. A number of essays have been highlighted, which are attributed to the intermediate between the completed and unfinished (texts in miniature, when the sketch is not deployed into a full -fledged work of art, but the main storylines are implemented)
First of all, the book is addressed to philologists and teachers of Russian literature. Since special terminology is reduced in the book to the necessary minimum, it can be useful to students and schoolchildren, as well as to everyone who is of interest to Lermontov’s work
