"In physics, there is always a lot of interesting things - it was interesting 50 years ago, and it is even more interesting today. What we are studying now will not only increase the level of understanding of nature, but also make a person to others" Valery Rubakov, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, chief researcher at the Institute of Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences, head of the department of the Physics Faculty of Moscow State University, member of the Scientific Council of Scoltekh.
The new edition became the second part of the two -volume of Skoltekh "Mathematics and Physics: two views, one world." The first book - "mathematical walks" - was published in 2017 and became a noticeable event in the scientific and educational life of the country. Following the mathematicians, Russian world-famous physicists talked about the most advanced phenomena in physics that can change our world tomorrow.
The new collection combines 22 interviews with leading Russian physicists who work at advanced universities and scientific centers in Russia, the USA, Germany, Finland. The book has become the final stage of the Great International Scientific and Educational Media Project Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) and Skonek magazine (Eid Kommersant).
Outstanding researchers took part in the project, leafing through the pages of the book, the reader, together with scientists, journalists, photographers, will be able to look into the future: is it possible to control the trajectory of the hurricane or targeted delivery of drugs within the human body, build a space elevator or invent a sound laser, Remove information from a black hole or look into another galaxy through a meek hole. And even understand where ideas are born.
But you can now not only read about the amazing world of physics, but also see: by pointing the smartphone camera on the QR code, which is located on the pages of the publication, you can watch the video and become a direct participant in the conversation with the scientist: modern computer graphics will show and tell About neutrino, dark energy, nanotubes, a quantum computer and much more, which today describes the world of the future
