The textbook is intended for university students studying the philosophy of culture in the framework of the general professional training program. It sets out the main methodological positions in the study of the philosophy of culture. The essence of this field of knowledge is revealed, an object and subject of research are justified. As the main methodology of studying the philosophy of culture, a systemic-synergistic approach is highlighted. On its basis, the idea of ​​culture as a holistic systemic education, included in a wider system of being, is given. The characteristic of each of the subsystems of culture and some of its elements is given.
