The publication published lithography, which made up the unique album "Peterhof. 1853 ". The sheets of this album capture the plans of the terrain, the types of buildings, the drawings of gateways, bridges and exemplary peasant houses that talk about the amazing landscape-architectural complex created by Nikolai I in the 1830-1850s in Peterhf, in the territory of the historical name Babigon. This complex was an ideal world that reflected, without a doubt, both important features of the emperor’s worldview, and the artistic tastes of the era. The perfectly arranged peasant life was organically combined in the world of Babigon with buildings stylized as antiquity, which was considered the highest cultural model. Lithographs are reproduced according to one of the preserved copies of the album stored in the funds of the State Museum-Reserve, the Peterhof. The author of the preface and comments on the publication is M. A. Platonov, who has worked in the museum for many years the guardian of the engraving funds and "printed graphics"
