150 years ago, in 1868, at the same time, the "descriptions of Peterhof" A.F. Heirota and "Essays on Peterhof and his environs" N.G. Sharubin. The labor of Heirota is well known, it is considered one of the most complete scientific descriptions of the imperial residence and the city of Peterhof, their history and attractions. The Book of Sharubin has never been reprinted and is currently a library rarity. The texts are printed in modern spelling and complemented by biographical essays about the authors.
