Peter Kornilov and his collection

The book is dedicated to the historian of art, the museum figure, bibliophile and collector of graphics - Peter Evgenievich Kornilov (1896-1981) Its role in the study of the work of Russian artists of the first half of the twentieth century and in their promotion in the public space of the country is huge. For more than two decades, he initiated many exhibitions and publications about artists, conducted painstaking work on the cataloging of the museum collection, and was engaged in research work. Kornilov - the author of over 300 scientific works on the history of art - was engaged in teaching at the Academy of Arts. The archive of Kornilov, as well as his collection of works of artists with whom he was friends and collaborated, contain many materials previously unknown to specialists and fans.
Most of the texts, photographs and works of art are published for the first time.
