The album presents 22 works by the PROSTIMPSIONSONIAN OF GOGEN Paul. He worked not only in France, but also in the southern exotic countries that were warmly beloved by him, especially in Tahiti.
Painting of any artist, in addition to talent, reflects his world, beliefs, education. The painting of the Gauguen field is a swollen clot of its inner system, its concentrated temperament. The properties of the Gaugnacheum made him a leader among young artists who are looking for new ways in painting, determined the features of the work of the Gauguin -House. Clean colors, often their disharmonious combinations, lack of depth and prospects, deliberately simplified, far from external resemblance painting, conveying the essence of the phenomenon or person (first of all, women), make Gauguen one of the main "peace of mind" of the last decades of the XIX century.
Paul Gauguin was born in Paris. His father was a modest journalist. In 1849, the family moved to the South American country of Peru to distant, but rich and noble relatives. It is possible that children"s impressions of the original Peruvian nature and life were of essential in the formation of the individual manner of the artist. In 1855, the Gauguin family returns to France, since 1860 he lives in Paris. The young field is attracted by the southern countries and the seas. From 1865 to 1871, the young Gauguin works a sailor on a ship that makes flights between Gavr and Riojaneiro.
Since 1871, Paul Gauguin leads the life of a small bourgeois, working as a Macler on the exchange. But since that time he no longer parted with paints, takes painting lessons, and creates his first works. In 1876, Gauguin"s landscape was exhibited in the salon. At the same time, Gauguin closely approaches the impressionists, often works in nature with Camille Pissarro. He is a participant in their last four exhibitions
