The new book of Mikhail Yampolsky is an attempt by means of philosophical anthropology to describe Moscow today, in which large -scale urban improvement and all -pervasive violence, political repression and the cult of historical memory, a boom of cultural consumption and a surge of radical art are organically coexisting.
