This educational and methodological manual is written in order to analyze the learning process of undergraduate architects for architectural and landscape design. The main problem solved in the manual is the problem of combining the scientific and project activities of the architect in the framework of the educational process. On the one hand, the master"s dissertation is an independent scientific research. On the other hand, the project is a traditional form of an architect of his ideas. Also, a project (architectural project) - documentation containing architectural solutions in the amount necessary for the development of documentation for the construction of objects, i.e., a purely applied form of knowledge.
The above dictated the need to use an ontological approach to the study of the educational process. The use of an ontological approach is relatively new to study the educational process. Although it has a previous tradition in the form of a cybernetic approach, used by the Ural architect and teacher A. E. Korotkovsky. The use of an ontological approach allows you to create a consistent and consistent system for the training of undergraduate architects, organically combining design and scientific activities.
