Album Olga Kruchinina. Costumes for famous films ”Open a book series dedicated to the Kino -Kostyum and the profession of costumes in domestic cinema. The foundation of the book was the memoirs of Olga Semenovna Kruchinina. Her memories are a picture of a whole era of domestic cinema, a kind of master class on which practical solutions were demonstrated, which allowed us to create unique cinematic images using costumes. The book also includes the memories of members of the film crew, colleagues and students of the artist. The publication presents sketches and photographs of costumes from the RGBI funds, the movie Museum, the Mosfilm film studio, as well as unique photographs from the artist’s personal archive, many of which have never been published before. This publication is designed to expand the ideas of readers about what contribution is made by costume artists to the creation of a film as a holistic art work.
Olga Semenovna Kruchina graduated from the Faculty of Art of the Moscow Textile Institute. There are well known and loved by the audience - these are costumes for the films "Scarlet Sails", "Sadko", "Hussar Ballad", "Days of Turbine", "Mimino" , "Irony of Fate or Enjoy Your Bath!" and others. Thanks to Kruchinina in 1977, a workshop was created in VGIK, which prepares future costume artists in cinema and on television
