The textbook was prepared on the basis of many years of experience in teaching the discipline "Security in Emergency Situations" in the South Russian State Polytechnic University (NPI) named after M.I. Platov.
The textbook, previously published by the team of authors, was devoted to the consideration of the main theoretical issues of the course.
This manual provides examples of practical work, as well as the methods of calculating the consequences of natural disasters and emergency situations of various nature (geological, hydrological, meteorological, technogenic, etc) In order to ensure methodological unity with the theoretical part of the course, test issues on self -control are given.
