Nonstoichiometry in solids

The main content of the book is associated with a comprehensive discussion of the phenomena of non -chiometry, disorder and order in a solid body. Nestechiometry, due to the presence of structural vacancies, is widespread in solid -phase compounds and creates the prerequisites for the disordered or ordered distribution of atoms and vacancies. Strength and discharge are possible in any substitution systems. These include non -chiometric compounds considered in the book (carbides, nitrides, oxides, sulfides, three -related triple introduction compounds), metal alloys and solid replacement solutions.
The extensive experimental material is given in the structure of the disordered and ordered phases of non -chiometric compounds, the ratio between the near and distant order in non -chioometric compounds. The results of a symmetry analysis of transformations of disorder-line are considered in detail.
