Museum Exposition: Methods and Technologies for Actualization of Cultural Heritage

The presented monograph is devoted to the analysis, classification and history of the development of basic exposition methods and technologies used in the modern practice of Russian museums. It is a kind of result of the research, design and pedagogical activity of the author, generalizing and renewing a number of its theoretical and practical conclusions, made in earlier scientific articles and books.
The main task is to show the communicative capabilities of the museum as a specific language of culture, and museum expositions are as original texts that have passed the evolution from subject "dictionaries" and popular science illustrations to original works of art. The peculiarity of the monograph is a large number of specific examples from projects of museum expositions and exhibitions, the creation of which the author was directly involved.
The monograph is intended for museum designers, exposures and artists, as well as for students and graduate students studying in the specialty "museology and protection of objects of cultural and natural heritage."
