The monograph outlines the results of works on the study of the works of Moscow tsarist workshops and regional art centers of the late XVI - early XVIII century. Iconography, style, design features and technology of monuments from the funds of museums of St. Petersburg, Moscow, Solvychegodsk, Perm, Novgorod are analyzed. The main attention is paid to subjects from the collection of the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg. The study substantiates new attributes of icons and applied art (carved wood, sewing, precious metals) The techniques of the design of liturgical utensils and several out -of -place gospels that come from the house churches of the Terem Palace of the Moscow Kremlin are considered. The study has a catalog of monuments containing a description of the artistic products of Moscow icon painters, jewelers, carving and masters of regional art centers.
