The book for the first time tells in detail about the architecture and history of one of the oldest Moscow houses located in the very center of the city on the theater square of Moscow. He is 200 years old! He is the same age as his famous neighbors - large and small theaters, and there is also a theater in it - the Russian State Academic Youth Theater (RAMT)
The fate of the theater house is not only the history of its construction, perestroika and additions, but also the fate of outstanding figures of the Russian theater, who turned out to be related to it - directors, actors, artists, composers, entrepreneurs, administrators. The formation of the Yublard building was in parallel with the development of the very phenomenon of the Russian Drama Theater. Over time, not only the decoration of the theater hall, the equipment of the scene, the aesthetics of the scenography and the nature of the scenery changed, but the very specifics of dramatic art changed, its common and original features were drawn up. The history of the Ramta building, as in the mirror, reflected the colorful and unusually diverse theatrical life of Moscow of the XIX-XXI centuries, those important stages of the path traveled by the Russian theater over the past two centuries.
