Moscow in photographs. 20th century

To show the life of the city and its inhabitants for a century in one book through the "captured moment" - a photograph is an incredibly complex task, so many events and changes have occurred over a hundred years. Moscow and Muscovites changed, but at the same time retained the unique Moscow imprint, and their everyday life, never interrupted, continued to go on its turn.
The album is composed in such a way that the reader can see and feel these changes in the appearance of the city, its inhabitants, to recall the pages of the glorious history of the city and the country. Structurally, the book consists of ten sections, each of which covers one decade of the 20th century, reflects the spirit of its time. The first flight of airplane, demolition of churches and monuments and the construction of the subway, old Moscow and new buildings, science and culture figures and ordinary residents, festive events and the daily life of Muscovites - all this found its place in the book.
The compilers tried to choose little -known and unpublished photographs from the Russian State Archive of Film Photo -Documents (at least 500 images) for the publication, so the book also represents scientific value by introducing new archival photographic materials into scientific circulation.
The book is designed for a wide audience.
