The eleventh volume completes the theme of the half -century period of urban planning history of Moscow in the ninth volume of the publication. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the city has experienced a number of catastrophic upheavals, but retained the historically determined ring structure and trace of the main streets laid along the water valleys. The material covering the period from the 10s. XX century to 1955, was originally designed for one volume, but the bright phenomenon of the Soviet avant-garde, which was dedicated to the author’s attention for decades, occupied most of the ninth volume (1910-1935)
