The album-catalog is dedicated to the famous gravity series "Monument du Costume" of 1789 depicting the scene from the life of a social society. Sheets of the series are represented along with works of applied art similar to what are depicted in engravings. Costume, accessories, furniture, dishes - all this allows you to plunge into the atmosphere of the era: objects that adorned the generic palaces and estates of the aristocracy indicate the spread of the style of Louis XVI throughout Europe, including in Russia.
Most of the reproduced treasures come from museums in Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as private collections.
