Modern university in the space of contradictions. Problems and ways to solve them

Based on the analysis of the modern conditions of the university functioning, some nodal moments inhibiting the development of education are discussed. The objectively existing contradictions of the elements of the “state -university” system are revealed, leading to a number of paradoxes that arise when achieving the goals and objectives of the university, as well as the tendency of the effect of “strangulation” of the educational process by entrepreneurial activity. Three possible state strategies in the field of education are formulated, mutually connecting the time and the cost of training with the quality of the training of a specialist, which makes it possible to consider these strategies as optimization tasks in various criteria and substantiate the “learning equation”. The solution to the problem of assessing the level of knowledge based on test tests, considered as the task of checking statistical hypotheses, is presented. It is optimized by assessing the quality of knowledge in an alternative and multi -alternative choice. The book is of interest to the heads of higher educational institutions, as well as the workers of the executive authorities involved in education issues in higher education
