The purpose of the textbook is to streamline knowledge in the field of modeling systems and processes. The concepts of model and modeling are briefly characterized. A review of approaches to modeling systems is given, classification of modeling methods is justified. The concept of the system, tasks and methods of research systems is considered. A review of the numerical methods used in modeling the functioning of technical systems. The organization and methodology of modeling complex technical systems on the example of the aviation complex is considered. The basic information and methods of the theory of identification of complex technical systems are given. Examples with solutions show a variety of methods for solving technical problems using modeling.
