A monograph on representatives of one of the largest sculptural dynasties in the latest history of Russia - Mitrofan, Julian and Alexander Rukavishnikov, is the result of many years of research work by the author. The book first presents a complete reconstruction of creative fate, as well as a comprehensive analysis of the life and creative path of the founder of the dynasty of Mitrofan Sergeyevich Rukavishnikov. The descendant of the rich Nizhny Novgorod family, he chose the path of art, becoming one of the brightest representatives of the artistic culture of the first half of the twentieth century.
The role of Mitrofan Sergeyevich as the founder of the dynasty is truly unique, since it is with the activities of representatives of the Ruvishnikov family that the tradition of transmitting sculptural skills in the bosom of the family is associated.
