The book considers the phenomenon of the literary circle - a special phenomenon characteristic of the intellectual and cultural life of Russia of the XIX - early twentieth century. Barbara Walker stares the figure of Maximilian Voloshin and the circle of artistic intelligentsia, the center of which he was. The poet, artist, publicist, Voloshin became one of the most noticeable figures of his time, and the unique phenomenon, known as the "circle of Voloshin", had a great influence on the Russian culture of the early twentieth century.
