Maurice Bezhar (1927-2007) is one of the most significant and most famous choreographers of the twentieth century in Russia. Continuing the topic begun in the book "Renaissance of the Russian Ballet", the author Jean -Pierre Pastori - a ballet historian, a public figure and writer - again addresses the outstanding world -class choreographer. In the "Renaissance" it was Sergey Diaghilev.
In the presented work - Maurice Bezhar, with whom Pastori was familiar and friendly.
The book tells about the relationship of Bezhara with the people with whom he was inspired.
The selective affinity of Maurice Bezhara with those musicians, decorators, actors, filmmakers and, of course, dancers who influenced his creative gift.
Each personality is the door behind which his work opens for us.
So, the figure of Jorge Donna directs our attention to the rehabilitation of the male dancer, actress Maria Kazares - to theatrical mise -en -scenes of Bezhara, composer Pierre Henri - on his innovation and avant -garde, dancer and decorator Gordinal Kasado - on the scenography of his ballets, Leopold Sedar Sengora, the poet and president of Senegal, - on the Bezharovsky cultural syncretism. And so on, according to the association of ideas.
It can be said that it was this communication and mutual influence that opened the world of choreographer Bezhar and his innovative and original ballet dance
