The textbook was created on the basis of the concept and methodological ideas of teaching mathematics S. I. Schwarzburda, N. Ya. Vilenkin, A. S. Chesnokov.
The textbook consists of two parts. The first part is devoted to the study of natural numbers and acquaintance with initial information from geometry. The textbook has a large and well -organized system of tasks, divided into three main groups: for working in the classroom, for repeating the previously completed material and for homework. In these groups, special icons are highlighted for oral execution, tasks for working in students of students, practical work.
In addition, there are headings that help to speak correctly, reason and think that allow you to successfully master universal educational actions, as well as a rubric dedicated to the history of mathematics.
Each item ends with the heading "Check yourself", including verification work and vocabulary dictations. Each paragraph, in turn, ends with the heading "use mathematics" containing tasks showing the connection of mathematics with other sciences and areas of activity.
