The presented material helps to activate the cognitive activity of students in grade 4, instill in them the skills of independent work in mathematics lessons. This is achieved by the inclusion in the content of the tasks of the traditional educational material on the development by students of the numbering of multi -digit numbers, oral and written techniques for adding and subtracting multi -valued numbers, solving text problems, problems of a geometric nature (for finding the area and perimeter of geometric shapes), as well as tasks for comparing the values ​​and values actions on them, to translations from one measurement system to another. All independent work contain five tasks with increasing complexity.
