The manual is intended for conducting practical classes at the course Mathematical Statistics for students of economic specialties. It can also be used in independent study of the subject due to a very large number of details solved.
The proposed manual contains tasks of various levels of complexity. However, the main emphasis is on the tasks of medium complexity. This was done intentionally, in order to encourage students to independently solve problems: it is boring to solve too simple problems, too complicated ones - demotivate medium and weak students, and strong students often take away an unreasonably large amount of time, which, in the conditions of a real educational process, they do not possess .
The manual covers all the main sections of the course “Mathematical Statistics”, which is currently read to the HSE at the Faculty of Economic Sciences: the main ways of obtaining point assessments - the method of moments, the method of maximum credibility, the main characteristics of assessments - inconsistency, effectiveness and viability , trusting intervals, testing of parametric hypotheses, chi-square criteria of Pirson-for the consistency of the distribution and independence of signs, testing parametric hypotheses in the context of Me
