B.P. Demidovich (1906–1977) - a well -known mathematician, author of the famous task for mathematical analysis. This book is the second, corrected, publication of his lecture course “Mathematical Fundamentals of Quantum Mechanics”. The first edition was published in 1963 and for a long time became a bibliographic rarity.
The book includes information from quantum mechanics and functional analysis. The main attention is drawn to the mathematical apparatus used by quantum mechanics. The polynomas Lyandra, the Laplass operator, ball and spherical functions, the polynomas of Chebyshev -Ermit and Chebyshev -Laigerra, the Schrödinger equation were considered in detail. The analysis of characteristic examples is given and exercises for independent solution are contained.
A textbook is designed for students of technical universities.
3rd edition, stereotypical
