A collection of articles of the German sociologist and the theoretician of Culture Siegfried Krakauer, dedicated to mass art and its merger with the technical innovations of the first half of the 20th century. The author discusses the similarity of the work of the camera and human memory, considers the phenomenon of dehumanization and mechanization of life in general and criticizes the human desire to become like a "clean, polished" machine. In the text "Ornament of Massa", which was released separately in the Minima series and gave the name to the collection, Krakauer analyzes the inevitable influence of capitalism on art and, as a result, the transformation of modern poetry into soulless trade
