Marcello Luo Judiche received two formations - natural -scientific and artistic. The first (at the University of Bologna he studied geology) influenced the development of the artist to no less than the second, received at the Venice Academy of Arts. His professors were famous masters "Arte Informale" - Emilio Vedova and Giuseppe Santomaso. But in the creative plan, with his correspondence teachers with whom he is in the inner dialogue, he could name such masters of the middle of the 20th century as L.Fontan, J. Dubuff and Yves Klein. Lo Judiche as an artist developing in line with abstraction turns to figurative means causing associations with geological processes. It involves two conditions: manual and procedurality, that is, the inclusion of a temporary factor. The artist draws pigments from bags and cans and manipulates with his hands above the surface. It envelops the surface (objectivity, place of action) by aura. Sushes pigments in a certain tangible-visual rhythm. The artist manually creates a certain surface, bark. The subject plan is gradually increasing - pigments are materialized in color, the colors are fierce. The relief arises, thanks to the changes in the heights of the texture, they lie in different ways, similarities of shadows are discarded.
And in the very brutality of the creation of works, and as a result, there is a figurative analogue of primacy, creation of the world. In the abstractions of Lo Judica there is a metaphor of natural processes. Its things have not a landscape, but a specific geological and dramargic subtext, an oxide gesture to the work of earthly rocks, folds, cracks.
remaining in the system of mediations inevitable for contemporary art, the artist retains a sense of involvement in the directly natural, whether it is geological processes or impressions of the current day
