Low-dimensional magnetism

Quantum cooperative phenomena occurring in magnetic systems of a reduced dimension form a rapidly developing direction in solid physics. Moreover, along with the physics of the waves of charge and spin density, Bose-Einstein condensation, superfluence and superconductivity, this circle of phenomena forms the basis of physics of the condensed state. The objects of low -size magnetism are compounds in which the carriers of the magnetic moment connected by metabolic interaction are grouped into isolated clusters, chains, stairs or layers. The quantum main state of many of these systems is spin fluid, and a long -range magnetic order occurs only in three -dimensional magnets. The book is intended for senior students, graduate students, researchers and teachers specializing in natural science. It discusses physical phenomena occurring in magnetic clusters, quasi -dimensional and quasi -aums magnetic systems
