This is a textbook on the tragic fate of the literature of the Silver Age during emigration. A lot has been written about her. But each in their own way interprets and summarizes such a complex and multifaceted material. The author of the proposed publication is also an original interpretation. It is in the selection of the names of prose writers and poets, and in already tested and new research, critical works, including the work of a memoir nature, and in an emphasis on those significant works that were previously either deviated or covered “on tangent”. For the first time, the head of the “Literature of Cossack Abroad” with forgotten names (P. Polyakov “Death of the Pacific Don”, A. Turoverov, P. Abramov, etc) was introduced. An attempt has been made from the excessive complication of the Russian language and in the most effective form in the light of new requirements of time to analyze such a voluminous and multifaceted literary period.
