The textbook introduces first -graders with the works of Russian literature, which most clearly reflects the spiritual foundations of Russian culture, Russian national character, customs, traditions of the Russian people. Each of the problem-thematic blocks of the textbook contains key concepts that reflect the spiritual and material culture of the Russian people in their historical relationship. Working with a textbook contributes to the enrichment of students" speech, the development of their speech culture and communicative competence. A significant part of the texts is intended for reading the teacher aloud, due to the features of learning in grade 1.
