Work Literary heritage of A.S. Pushkin and copyright in Russia of the first half of the XIX century ”is the first in a series of popular science books on the features of the application of legislation in the provision of legal protection to objects of literary property and their inheritance. The formation of the national system of copyright of writers is inextricably linked in Russia with the active social and entrepreneurial activities of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. The great Russian poet is the ancestor of the very concept of “author’s fee” and the initiator of the provisions to the legislation of the Russian Empire, providing writers with the protection of their exclusive rights to their own works, as well as the opportunity to enjoy these rights during the legislatively established period. Based on archival materials and numerous historical sources, the author offers his view of the relationship between the Russian power and the creative intelligentsia in the 19th century, explores the features of the inheritance of exclusive rights to the works of A.S. Pushkin by his widow Natalia Nikolaevna and the children of the poet
