Life safety. Protection of territories and facilities in emergency situations

Organizational and technical issues of life safety are set out, as well as the impact on the human body and its habitat of negative factors of a natural, technogenic and social nature, protection from them and their standardization. The methods of protecting territories, objects of economics and population from emergency situations of a natural nature (earthquakes, tsunami, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes) and modern geodynamic processes (landslides, mudflines, avalanches, river erosion, and sea abrasion) are highlighted.
