Apollo Aleksandrovich Grigoryev (1822-1864) - Russian poet, an ideologist of updated Slavophilism, literary and theater critic, translator, memoirist, author of a number of popular songs and romances of popular today. Lermontov A. Grigoryev devoted to the work “Lermontov and its direction”, written during his cooperation in the magazines of F.M. and M.M. Dostoevsky Time and era. He came a more difficult assessment of the Lermontov “hero ...”: “The heroic” beginning, expressed in his own way in Pechorin, becomes for criticism as an integral element of national life as the simple-hearted “The Smiry Type” by Maxim Maksimych. The negative assessment of Lermontov was undoubtedly influenced by F.M. Dostoevsky, as well as a strange mixture of soilism and Freemasonry in the worldview of critic. Circulation 30 copies.
