Irish mythology is one of the richest in Europe, second only to Greek and Latin. There were different principles of classification of traditions, or sag. One of them was the assignment of legends to a particular cycle. This publication included sagas from the mythological and historical (also called royal) cycles. A number of legends "about the old places" and other sources that tell about life, life, and military acts of the Irish people in the distant past are adjacent to this corps of texts.
The conquest of Ireland and the establishment of Christianity there passed quite painlessly and brought the Celts writing. In addition, some continuity between the previously existing cult of the Druids and the new religion has been preserved. About these glorious times, about the main Irish saints, "about the old places" you will read in the proposed book.
For historians, students of historical and philological specialties, all interested in the history of medieval Europe.
