John Ryskin is an English artist, writer, art theorist-the author of fifty books and more than seven hundred articles and lecture texts gained well-deserved fame as a poet, being a 20-year-old young man, and by adulthood became one of the most authoritative art historians and art historians. His gaze was turned not only into the past-he actively supported contemporaries: the predecessor of impressionists William Turner, Presephaelite artists. Ryskin advocated the availability of education, for the moral principle and realism in art. “Lectures on art” is one of the most famous cycles of his works, in which he acts as a historian and as a theorist of modern art, takes the best examples from various eras and embeds them into a single system of development of artistic creation.
