This book, first published in 1977, presents a radically new approach to architecture and construction, the authors believe that people themselves should design their homes, streets and areas, and this idea is based on simple observation: the most remarkable places on the planet were not created by architects , and ordinary people. The book describes the "language" for the design of the environment, the units of which are templates, or patterns, answer architectural questions: what heights to make windows, how many floors should be in the building, what area to be taken in the microdistrict to trees and lawns. The publication contains more than 250 templates - each includes a description of a particular problem, its discussion, supported by the illustration, and the decision.
