The catalog was prepared as part of the project of the temporary exhibition dedicated to the work of the outstanding Flemish painter of the XVII century Jacob Yordans (1593-1678), - the first large -scale exposition of the works of the master in Russia. The exhibition is organized by the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg and the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin in Moscow. It presented nineteen paintings and thirty -one drawings from the meetings of the State Hermitage, the Estaculation of A.S. Pushkin, as well as the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum, the Perm State Art Gallery, as well as the picture of the Yordans from the Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra. The publication is designed for both specialists and a wide range of art lovers
