Ivan Aivazovsky. The great painters of the sea

The book talks about the life and work of the outstanding painter Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky (1817-1900) The creative genius of the master was embodied in more than 6,000 paintings, most of which are dedicated to the sea. “Creator of formidable storms and the charming beauty of the resting sea”, Aivazovsky, like no one else, sung “water with its extraordinary beauties" - his brushes were subject to spectacular images of shipwrecks and storms and poetic landscapes of the elegiac Sea. The artist made a great contribution to the development of battal painting, devoting a lot of paintings to sea battles that glorified the Russian fleet.
A separate chapter of the book is dedicated to the beloved place of Aivazovsky - Crimea, where the artist lived a long fruitful life and created a whole gallery of paintings with amazing Crimean views.
