The book is dedicated to the dialogue of Russian writers-Modernists with Dante and Petrarch. Its three sections investigate: a common admission to the "Chancerer" Petrarch, the poems of Annensky, Kuzmin, Khodasevich and Akhmatova, marked by the creative processing of the "Divine comedy" and "Chancerer", the path made by the Mandelstam from the ignoring Dante to the original reinfection verses and prose. These stories are considered against the background of the aesthetic trends prevailing in the silver century as a change in some forms of Dante and Petrarch as others.
