The 9th book of the Garage.txt series is devoted to modern Russian artists.
There has been such a time that it is already impossible to answer the question What style does this artist belong to? In the spirit of Wikipedia. The era of styles is over. But the artists remained. Especially everything is interesting and confused with Russian art. Our creators are capable of, like gloves, to change not only their creative concepts, but also views on the universe. The Russian artist very rarely refers to a certain style or direction - all of them belong to him personally. For him, there is no and cannot be any once and for all established rules, he constantly “falls out” from the movement or style attributed to him.
And that is why the “portrait” genre seemed the most adequate approach to the description of such a living, dynamic and always changing phenomenon - contemporary art.
