Denis Ivanovich Fonvizin (1745-1792) is considered the creator of Russian household comedy. We can say that the "undergrowth" and the "foreman" open "the Golden Age" of Russian literature. The author makes fun of social vices inherent in the noble estate, contrasting them with faithful and eternal moral guidelines: honesty, labor, mind, patriotism. Comedies are distinguished by vivid images and subtle humor, and many quotes have become winged expressions.
The book also included selected prose works: "Universal court grammar", "reasoning about indispensable state laws", "sincere recognition in my affairs and thoughts."
