A large (more than 300 works) A collection of photographs of Soviet celebrities, stars, people known to every Soviet man, the period of the 60-80s, caught by photographers in an informal, and often in a completely unusual spectator, was demonstrated by the Moscow and St. Petersburg public. The project turned out to be in demand, and we decided to continue. It is worth saying that we did not set a goal to certainly demonstrate the images of each person known during this period, reflect the features of time or express our attitude to the characters. This is a photographic project, and the main character in it is a photograph. 305 works by forty -three Russian photographers are presented to your attention. The professional of them is a professional and worthy of a personal project. Believe me, gathering them together cost great labor and patience. The 90s is the period in which the formation of idols and the emergence of stars took place very violently, and the photograph clearly did not have time behind these processes. A secular photochery as a genre arose only in the next decade, it often turned out that their friends, friends of friends became personal photographers of stars in the 90s, and our difficult task was to find real professionals among them. This trend was especially pronounced in the field of underground art and a newly-minted show business. The layer of informal culture also attracted the same photographers. They were together not only on shooting, but also in ordinary life. They were fed by one atmosphere, the one that formed the unique styles of Sergei Borisov, Alexander Zabrin, Andrei Usov, Dmitry Konrad, Sasha Borodulin, Valera and Natasha Cherkashin ... The political photograph of these years is represented by the works of photographers with the reputation of the “heavyweights”: Leo Sherestenikov, Vladimir Musaelana, Viktor Akhlomov.305 photos of the project “Icon of the 90s” surrounds you with people who have created a new culture, politics and a new life that we have been living for the past twenty years. All these people will remain icons of generation, who was lucky to live on a unique break in history. For twenty years for a photograph, we believe that our project will gain strength over the years. Time will become an oak barrel for the wine of the project “Icon of the 90s”, and the next generation will drink it
