This book introduces the reader to the theory and methodology of improving the apparatus of creativity, necessary for solving non -standard, and in particular Olympiad, problems of younger students. It gives an idea of a new approach to learning, taking into account the characteristics of the age of students, talks about the methodology for achieving significant results in this process. The book contains more than 150 Olympiad problems with solutions. The book became the laureate of the First All-Russian Competition of the Scientific and Methodological Council in mathematics of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation "The best educational publication in mathematics" of 2010.
