The evolution of historical poetics is traced from its origin in the writings of A.N. Veselovsky and refraction of the ideas of the scientist in the domestic literary criticism of the twentieth century (O.M. Freidenberg, M.M. Bakhtin, A.V. Mikhailov and others) to the recent efforts to develop ways of its further development as an actual scientific approach.
